Penny is a particularly well-behaved, loving and quiet little girl, a bit
shy
at first meeting, but then very affectionate with her people. She house-trained
herself and
fit easily into the family routine. Penny loves her walks and is so
good on the
lead, never pulling or lunging at other dogs or animals, and
gets on well
with the other pets.
Penny clearly thinks dog beds and treats make
retirement almost dog-heaven,
and also enjoys sunbathing! She's still
contemplating toys, but is a bit
baffled by them!
On the other hand, Penny
loves to unpack bags of any kind, including my
Vera Bradley (she IS a girl,
afterall!). Fortunately, she doesn't seem
interested in chewing the
contents, just unloading them. After being
corrected about the Vera Bradley
bag, the next day I found she had taken
just my wallet OUT of the bag, not
the bag itself. Smart girl!!
Like many newly retired Greyhounds, she skitters a little a hardwood floors when
she's excited--this will certainly improve over time.
Penny is a beautiful fun girl and is a joy to have in the home!
